Big thanks to Fintech WorldWide for putting on this Blockcahin event. I was probably the only speaker that sees Bitcoin as the only Blockchain. It is a tough stance to take these days with everyone trying to use the word ‘blockchains’ to solve every world problem. To some, an Excel Document placed on a Goggle server as a Sharable Google Doc is a Blockchain.

Recently, it was determed where the term ‘Blockchain’ was first used in a definition by Satoshi. It should solidify what a Blockchain is, but many still do not believe that it requires Proof Of Work.

“Nodes collect new transactions into a block, hash them into a hash tree, and scan through nonce values to make the block’s hash satisfy proof-of-work requirements. When they solve the proof-of-work, they broadcast the block to everyone and the block is added to the block chain.” -Satoshi Nakamoto

Below is the conference in it’s entirety from the live stream.
